Results

The 2009 Police association and Council of Sport Snowboarding Nationals were held in perfect conditions at Cardrona Alpine Resort, Wanaka from 17-18 September 2009.
Events consisted of the notorious Cardrona Cannonball, half pipe, giant slalom and boardercross (BX).
The Cannonball lived up to it's fearsome reputation, with Club life member Ian Tuke being taken out in a dastardly move by Ross WATSON, resulting in 4 broken ribs and a trip to Invercargill hospital.
(Ian was also hospitalised in 2008, going too big in the halfpipe and fracturing his shoulder).
Greg Murton powered to victory in the Cannonball in a smooth display of speed in tough conditions, for his second title.

In the overall results there was a titanic struggle in the men's competition between Christchurch competitors Aaron Brady and Tom Lamborn. Tom pulled off the best pipe routine in the final event to edge out Aaron by 1 point.
