The Police Tennis Championships 2009 were held at the Mount Maunganui Tennis Club on Thursday 19 March and Friday 20 March 2009.

Competitors enjoyed warm, sunny conditions over both days with the added bonus of the availability of the Police Association Holiday Homes for competitors who wished to take advantage of them.

Players from outside the BOP travelled from far and wide including Auckland, and Dunedin. It was great to see the ladies from North Comms and Auckland enter for the first time and they have promised to bring along more female competitors for the 2010 tournament. It was also fantastic to see the 'vets' fronting up again this year and putting their bodies on the line in the Men's Social Grade competitions.

The 2010 tournament will be held in Rotorua in 25^th - 26^th March 2010. Entry Forms will be available in September 2009.
