Overview
Established in 1986, the New Zealand Police Ski club have held annual skiing and snow-boarding competitions at various ski-fields throughout New Zealand. Members have competed at overseas events on at least 10 previous occasions and the club now enjoys a strong support base.
In 1991 members successfully purchased their own ski lodge. Situated at 35 Queen Street, Raetihi, only 10 kilometres from Ohakune and in close proximity to the Mt Ruapehu ski-fields, this 48 bed lodge rates highly in terms of amenities and is a great place to stay. With 12 separate bedrooms, drying room and well appointed kitchen, members and guests are able to relax in comfortable surroundings at minimal cost.
