A great day out for Police Volleyball in Tāmaki Makaurau recently.  On 26 June a seven-team tournament took place with six Police teams in action, including a team from Bay of Plenty district, and an invitational youth club team. An awesome day out by all accounts after an extended hiatus thanks to COVID in our most locked down centre.

The competition was fierce, with both finals hotly contested in the third set. Huge congratulations to Panikeke from Counties Manukau who took out first place, followed by ACD TM (Auckland and Waitematā) and the Waitematā Lightning taking out the second and third placings.

Plenty of opportunity for volleyballers to represent Police at district and national level coming up with the Winter Games in August and AP&ES games early next year, as well as the potential to travel internationally. Get in touch with Volleyball Coordinator, Stefan McIntyre, if you want to get involved or know more.
